Every now and then you come across people in this world who get that life is about more than them. They realize that we have a responsibility to those society would consider the least among us. They know much better than to consider these people the least of anything. Every once in a while, you meet someone with compassion that inspires and calls you to do a little more to make a difference to someone other than yourself. Debbie has started a blog to raise money for a woman she feels called to help. Please visit this site and read Karen’s story and help Debbie make a difference in her life.
Mahatma Gandhi is one of the most respected leaders of modern history. A Hindu, Ghandi nevertheless admired Jesus and often quoted from the Sermon on the Mount. Once when the missionary E. Stanley Jones met with Ghandi he asked him, “Mr. Ghandi, though you quote the words of Christ often, why is that you appear to so adamantly reject becoming his follower?”
Ghandi replied, “Oh, I don’t reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It’s just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ.”
And yet, many non-Christians are so much like him.

Thanks for writing that sweetie! I really appreciate you spreading the word to get this woman help.
I’ve been out of work for weeks now, so I’m not in the position today – but when I am – I’ll help.
Yay!!! Jali’s back! I hope your feeling wonderful!!
Wow.. this is so much all about what blogging *can* be about. It can be much more than just navel-gazing and recording the mundane aspects of our lives. Thanks for this.
I’ve nominated it for Just Posts.
Peace,
