I loved The Secret Life of Bees. I think of it every time I eat a spoonful of honey, and it tastes better.
Alice Walker is another favorite of mine, especially since she brought Zora Neale Hurston’s work out of obscurity and got it republished. Their Eyes Were Watching God is probably my favorite novel. (I adore the heroine, Janey.)
Blue (the color of sky when there are cumulus clouds) is my favorite color. I would love to see Asmara, which is also a beautiful name.
I loved The Secret Life of Bees!! And we were actually listening to Phil Collins before bed the other night. We’re soooo cool, man. 🙂

Oooooooh. I love me some Lakisha Jones! Girl has got some PIPES, right? She has such a great story too. Single mom, taking care of her own…livin’ the dream. I was in love with her since seeing her original audition! She’s my winner…and if she loses, I hope it’s the same way Jennifer Hudson lost. With better things to come!
